Sunday and Monday

Sundays are always  busy, there is worship at the school and the teachers are also assigned to preach from time to time. One of the teachers Christi, teaches the students’ children for  Sunday School. Often there is reason to worship in one of the area churches for preaching requests and or special services. This week we worshiped with the students and due to the teaching load I do not think we will as much opportunity to visit other areas. Besides worship services, Sunday is also a day to greet friends and neighbors, and we had about 8 greeters from different area come to visit.  A good time to catch up.  We praise God!

Monday is also a busy day, I have two classes and Gremar teaches healthy living to the women students.  Monday is also market day in Warari and we can only get there in the afternoon at the hottest time of the day.  I wish you could experience the market with us. This time I was able to take some pictures but only with permission from the persons being taken.

I bought a drinking orange from him.
I bought a nice piece already cooked and spiced.
Repairing cell phones in the market.
Dave, I thought you might appreciate his soldering irons.

  1. Hey Pastor Case and Gremar! We are reading you blog as a part of our Sunday school class today! We found it really cool and kind of strange that there were people repairing cell phones in the market. Can they fix touch screen phones? If so, I am sending mine!! What is a drinking orange? Do you just drink the juice from the orange or do you use the shell to drink from like a cup? What kind of meat was that you ate? It was really nice to be able to see some photos! Are you guys staying nice and cool? It is warming up a little here. Two days ago we had -2 degree weather, but today it is supposed to be 40! Well, we really enjoyed reading the blog today and seeing all of the picures!

    1. Hi Sunday School class. They repair basic phones but as they get newer phones the will be able to fix them I am always amazed at the ingenuity of the Nigerians. The meat is cow meat but it is not as good as goat meat, last week we were able to get some pork. The orange is one you suck the juice out of it. Most of the time I need to buy something to get a picture. I just published “The Way of Holiness” Isaiah 35 have the kids read it and I would like to hear their comments on it
